The closure from the Great War

The closure from the Great War

A cork from the First World War, with more than 100 years of history that dates back to the time of the Great War, was found by Maria Crespi and Denni Stefani and donated to Labrenta, with the awareness of the importance of this gift. The cork was found along a path in Val Genova, part of the Adamello Group, an area where the Italian and Austrian troops competed for this pass of a strategic importance.

The cork blackening and the characteristic shape of the past, semi-squared and non-cylindrical, revealed to the couple that it was a relic. Hence, the decision to entrust the object to Labrenta, known by the two thanks to a previous collaboration, which decided to recreate Adamello, the name given to the closure, to reanimate the historic cork.
